Why Knot Wellness, LLC

Why Knot Wellness, LLC Specializing in Medical Massage Therapy for People with Cancer, Chronic Illnesses, and Caregivers.

Our mission here at Why Knot Wellness, LLC is is to provide high quality medically necessary massage to those people who are living with a cancer diagnosis (at whatever stage they are in), chronic illnesses and their caregivers. We are also LGBTQA+ friendly, and encourage those seeking a safe space to be themselves. Every person who visits us will be treated with respect and caring, and will get

the same high quality treatment no matter age, gender or presentation. Why Knot Wellness, LLC understands that every body that walks through our door has different needs not only from every other body, but from day to day with even themselves. We strive to meet people where they are at the moment they come in to see us. We work together with each client to find out what is needed so that they get the work that best helps them to leave with relief, not pain. Our therapist, Jet has been doing massage therapy for over 20 years. Receiving their Associates in Science degree in Massage Therapy from the Community College of Allegheny College, and Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from WVU, Jet loves working to make people's lives better. We offer: Medical and Theraputic Massage, Oncology Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki and other types of massage therapy for mind and body. Chair Massage can also be arranged for both individuals and companies.

What do you get when you combine over 24 years of massage experience… with years of living in a body navigating chronic, undiagnosed illness?

You get care that truly listens.

At Why Knot Wellness, we don’t just listen to your words — we listen to your muscles, your fascia, and your nervous system.

And then we respond.

Using pressure that works with your body, not against it.
Pressure that invites your body to soften, to breathe, to sigh in relief — instead of bracing or enduring in silence.

Because massage shouldn’t be something you “get through.”
It should be something your body can settle into.

Learning how to take care of your body between massage sessions can make a big difference.

One of the simplest (and most important) things? Staying hydrated.

Your body relies on water for just about everything — your cells, your circulation, and your lymphatic system all need it to do their jobs well.

After a massage (or even exercise), your body has been encouraged to move and shift — and staying hydrated helps support that process. Without enough water, you might feel a bit sluggish or sore the next day.

So think of it this way:
Massage gets things moving… and water helps it all flow a little more smoothly.

Communication is so important — especially during your massage.
I love when clients share what’s going on while they’re on the table.
Is the pressure too much? Not enough?
Is a spot feeling extra tender?
Do you need more support or bolstering?
Every body is different, and every session is unique. Open, honest communication helps us work together to create the best experience for you.
Your comfort matters. Your voice matters.

Fridays aren’t just the end of the week—they’re an invitation to come back into your body.
Somatic therapy is about noticing the whispers beneath the noise: the tension in your shoulders, the shallow breath, the emotions that pop up once the week slows down.

When we pause on a Friday to feel and integrate, we give ourselves permission to enter the weekend lighter, steadier, and more present.

So this Friday, take a moment—stretch, breathe, book that massage, or just notice what your body’s been trying to tell you all week.

However your health journey looks, you deserve support along the way. Want to book with us? www.vagaro.com/us03/whyknotwellnesllc
