Reiki is a Japanese healing technique created by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. Reiki does not directly heal disease or illness, it is an alternative health approach that may help manage symptoms and improve general well-being.
During a session, the Reiki practitioner places their hands in a series of positions just above you, channeling the healing energy through their body and into yours to where healing needs to occur.
The goal is to stimulate your body's natural healing abilities by removing energy blocks and improving the flow of energy around the body. When the energy flow is blocked, it can lead to physical, emotional, and mental imbalance. This may manifest as physical pain or discomfort, or emotional or mental distress.
