♥️As we approach Valentine’s Day, whether or not we agree with the way the holiday was started be it corporate or financial interests, the fact remains that it is a day for love. The energy of the day is love, and who doesn’t need a little more love in their life? And rather than put the expectation on anyone other than yourself, it is a beautiful day to shower yourself with unconditional love. There are many ways that can manifest for you, one is by ceasing all judgment, negative self talk, “shoulds” that you place upon yourself, regret, or shame and allowing yourself to remove all of those from your psyche and your mind. It can also manifest as treating yourself to something beautiful, indulging in a delicious meal, allowing yourself to fall in love with life, allowing yourself to fall in love with the gift that we are being presented with just by being on this planet.
Cupid has a knack for bringing two hearts together, and nothing is sweeter than delicious, romantic love. Cupid was also known for having a sense of humor, so remembering to keep things light without heavy expectations for yourself and for those in your life can be a way to embrace the playfulness and romance of the day, whether or not you have a romantic partner. For me I made dinner reservations for myself weeks ago. I plan on buying myself some beautiful flowers (tulips are one of my favorite) and indulging any desire that is possible for myself on Friday. I love romance. I love love. And even though I don’t have a romantic partner, I am still looking forward to a day where love is in the air and those around me are enjoying the romance that has found its way into their life. I will also give a nod to Cupid for the role that he plays in bringing beautiful hearts together.
