Trades of Hope is a fair trade, missional company that gives women the opportunity for a better life. So many women live in poverty, not because they lack abilities, but because they lack opportunity. Each woman has a story, and with Trades of Hope's help, their story has changed from pain and struggle to a story of hope! Trades of Hope work with the artisans themselves and organizations that are helping women in difficult circumstances. These women come from 16 different countries, including the US. Trades of Hope follow the fair trade principles, which means the artisans are paid 4-6x more than what they would normally make in their country; we pay 100% of what the artisan asks for, and up front for the items. It is about creating sustainable business for women who are in desperate situations. Through your purchase, you are rescuing women out of the sex trade, slums, sweatshop and extreme poverty! You are giving a voice to a woman who has no voice! These women have never had the chances we've had, yet they are just like us in so many ways. They love their families and hope and dream of a better life for them. These are women making beautiful products that will now be able to put food on their table, a roof over their head, get medical care and send their children to school just like you!
