This is for the eldest daughters.

The ones who became caregivers before they had a chance to just be kids.
Who held it all - quietly, constantly, and without always being seen.

You may not be named this Mother’s Day,
But your care, your strength, and your presence has matter deeply.

This post is a gentle recognition.
For everything you carried
For the love you gave while waiting to receive your own.
For the Intere Niña, and you that still deserves love, care & compassion.

Take a moment. Let this message land.
You deserve to rest. You deserve softness. You deserve to be seen by others but specially by YOU!

Sometimes the deepest healing happens in the softest moments.

A warm drink. A quiet room. The kind of stillness that doesn’t ask anything from you.

For first gen adults, eldest daughters, and those raised to always do—
this stillness might feel unfamiliar.
But it’s sacred too.

If you needed a reminder to pause… this is it.

As I provide the last few sessions of the year, I’m reflecting on the immense privilege it is to hold space for others in their most vulnerable moments. To the incredible individuals I work with- thank you for showing up authentically and trusting me with your sadness, grief, frustrations, and hopes.

My intention is always to provide a compassionate, culturally attuned space where you feel truly seen and supported. I hope you leave each session feeling cared for and empower to continue your journey with strength and self compassion.

Here’s to honoring our roots, prioritizing well-being, and embracing the power of vulnerability.

How do you create spaces for yourself and others in your life? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

This week has been heavy as I reflect on the loss of my grandmother. Her legacy lives on in the love I carry and the path I walk.

Grief reminds us of what matters most—our roots, our connections, and the ways we honor those that came before us.

If you’ve lost someone who shaped you, I’d love to hear how you honor their memory. Let’s hold space for their stories together.

Drop a heart 💜 or share a memory of someone whose legacy lives on through you.

As first -generation eldest daughters, we often carry the weight of multiple rules – caretakers, trailblazers, problem-solvers. With so much on our plates, it can be hard to slow down and appreciate what is going right in our lives.

Did you know that practice and gratitude can have a profound impact on your mental health?

Gratitude can help:

💛Release some of the stress and pressure we carry daily
💛Shift our mindset from overwhelmed to abundance
💛Strengthen the relationships we value- without feeling like we always have to “fix” things.
💛Improve self-care, which is often overlooked when we are managing everyone else’s needs.

Start small:
🌟Reflect on three things you are grateful for today, no matter how big or small
🌟Appreciate how far you’ve come, even when the journey feels heavy
🌟Acknowledge your strengths- you’re doing more than you realize

Practicing gratitude is about finding joy and peace in the little moments. It’s not about perfection but honoring yourself for all you do, every single day.

What are you grateful for today?

Try meditating by visualizing yourself at the beach

Hearing the sound of the waves

Feeling the sun on your skin and the sand on your feet

Enjoying the peace and stillness

There are many different ways of meditating. Try several of them and see what you enjoy the most.

I encourage my clients try meditation, in many cases it turns into a coping strategy added to their self care tool box.
