Do you know what we really want for the holidays?🎄

It’s truly to be able to share the practice of yoga with more of you.

This practice is such a gift that gives to us in each and every part of our lives. It’s a blessing for each and every one of us to be able to share this practice with you and to watch from the sidelines as your lives change for the better because of it.

Yoga has the power to bring us to and through so many things. If we could ask for just one gift for the holidays, it would be to have the studio filled with new yogis in each and every class so we can continue to spread all the best that this practice has to offer. 💛

Tranquility is not only a state of the mind, but of the body & soul, too.

This is your reminder to be kind to yourself. When the world is full of hustle & bustle, it’s easy to get caught up in the ‘need’ to keep up.

It’s ok to rest, to be still. It’s ok (& highly recommended) to unplug, reset & renew. Tune into your breath and slow down. Find your center and relish in this experience that you create.

‘Be patient to your restlessness. Be kind to your body. Be grateful for the opportunity of being here just now. Feel driven by the unique chance to learn a little more, to know yourself a little deeper.’

Though surrounded by the stunning landscape of our Montana home, the transition to winter can often leave us with less sunshine ☀️ than our systems require. We can quickly begin to feel the effects of less Vitamin D in the body.

How does low D manifest?👇
• Excessive Fatigue
• Sore or Painful Bones
• Weakened Immune System
• Feelings of Weakness
• Feelings of Depression
• High Anxiety Levels
• Hair Loss
• Excessive Sweat
• Digestive Health Issues

None of these sound overly attractive, do they?😳 So, what do we do when the sunshine goes into hiding? Turn to supplements and plants, of course! 🌿

Finding a high quality Vitamin D supplement is a great solution - and yes! - there are vegan Vitamin D supplements, too!

Mushrooms are your greatest ally when trying to increase your Vitamin D intake. There are tons of ways to add mushrooms to your diet, even if you aren’t particularly fond of them. In addition, fortified milks like almond, soy, rice and even tofu can be helpful additions.

How do you start your day?

There are many resources that say you should begin the day with 32oz of lemon water.😍

Lemon water is the perfect way to hydrate, purify and revitalize your body every morning! This form of hydration is a great way to awaken and energize your mind and body to start the day!

Adding lemon to water enhances the water, allowing it to pe*****te your cells, carrying the most essential nutrients the body needs!

It can be a big word, with many emotions attached.

When we soften, we take the walls down; we become vulnerable.

To allow our body’s processes to function properly, we need to soften, encouraging the body into the rest and digest state.

Softening makes the body receptive to the breath, the movement, the wellness that we practice, making them more effective within.

Consider softening, both on and off the mat & compare how you feel with the extra intention. ❤️

Tuning in…

In class, yoga guides most often reference tuning in to our breath, to our bodies, to our minds.

But, do you?

Tuning into this trifecta of breath, body and mind, instead of using the time to make your to-do list, makes it possible to truly tune into your LIFE!😁

The 🎶words, ‘I wanna live a life, live a life like a dollar and the clock on the wall don’t own me…’ have been floating around the airwaves for a while now, and every time this song comes on, I find myself singing the chorus, these words at the top of my lungs…

It’s about tuning in to LIFE! 🖖

It’s about getting out of our lower mind where the ego says stay busy, chase the almighty dollar and instead, putting emphasis on the things that matter the most. Using your time on the mat to tune in instead of zone out makes that task easier, make shining your light in your LIFE more possible… 🕯️
