Barb had a wonderful birthday today at Broad Creek Manor.

Her special request was strawberry shortcake, and of course we made sure she had exactly what she wanted.

She also enjoyed a delicious homemade chicken salad lunch while spending time with her son, Dale Hevesy, which made the day even more special.

Please join us in wishing Barb a very happy birthday! We hope her day was filled with smiles, good food, and time with the people she loves.

A big thank you to Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church for spending part of their Sunday worshiping with the residents at Broad Creek Manor. Hearing everyone sing Amazing Grace together was such a beautiful and meaningful moment.

Today’s Mardi Gras Social Hour was full of personality and color! Our residents had so much fun picking out festive masks, layering on bright beads, and striking a pose for the camera. From elegant and sparkly to bold and playful, each mask brought out a little extra sparkle and laughter.

There’s something special about putting on a mask — it gives everyone permission to be a little silly, a little glamorous, and a whole lot of joyful. And of course, we topped it all off with delicious King Cake to complete the celebration!

At Broad Creek Manor, we believe Assisted Living with an Independent Spirit means celebrating traditions, creating memories, and making every social hour something to smile about.

Today’s Social Hour was full of festive fun as our residents celebrated Mardi Gras in style! We donned colorful masks and bright beads, shared lots of laughter, and embraced the spirit of New Orleans right here at Broad Creek Manor.

And of course… no Mardi Gras celebration would be complete without King Cake! A sweet ending to a joyful afternoon together.

On Thursday, our Baking Club filled the kitchen with the sweet smell of homemade Valentine cookies. Then on Friday, we gathered for our Valentine’s Day Social to enjoy the treats together, share laughs, and celebrate friendship.
