Sometimes as a parent I feel like I *should* know more about ALL the things. And I piece things together from what I learn on IG or FB. And sometimes that’s enough! But other times it’s SO nice to have an expert in the field come along beside me and my child and help us along. We were meant to live in community and it’s okay to use that community! Reach out if you have speech, language, or feeding needs that I can support you and your family with!

When people think of speech therapy, they often think of assessment and treatment of children who have difficulty saying sounds. Speech therapy DOES treat what we call "articulation" issues, but it is so much more! Speech/Language therapy can also benefit kids who are toddlers and not yet talking, children who may need the support of a communication (AAC) device, school age kids who need support to use age appropriate grammar, children who struggle with breaking down a task and following directions and more. Communication is one of the main ways humans connect and when a child is having difficulty it can be challenging for the whole family. I'd love to support your family in these challenges. Hey there Monument! I wanted to introduce myself. I’m Amber a Speech-Language Pathologist and have just relocated to the area and re-opened my private practice. I love working with kids of all ages and can help with speech, language, and feeding needs. I’m also working on forming social groups. I look forward to serving families in the area. *I currently only have openings DURING school hours. Private pay only at this time*

Sometimes it truly does just look like play! That’s a good thing IMO! Play is how kids learn and therapy should be fun!

What does a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) do? It's not just about helping kids pronounce their 'r' sounds! SLPs also support children with ADHD and other executive function issues. They help with memory, planning, and so much more! Explore the vital role SLPs play in our children's lives at www.wix.com!
