So, it's been a minute but most conferences were cancelled due to... well we all know, but some have pivoted to virtual conferences. Emoto Cards

I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for almost 15 years. During that time I have seen a lot of kiddos designated as SED or severely emotionally disturbed as well as children and adults on the autism spectrum. It has been my experience that a lot of the behavioral and emotional issues my clients have struggled with were due to an inability to verbally express how they were feeling in a situation or how they felt about that situation. In fact, when asked to identify any emotions, these kiddos struggle with naming more than “mad” or “bored”. They could however name all of the characters from popular trading card games, name all of the evolutions these characters had as well as identify what types these characters belonged to in the game. So I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if there were a card game that had the feel of these other games but dealt only with emotions. After looking for and not finding anything, I developed my own. I started this process in June 2010. It has taken almost 10 years to get here but I hope you find as much success working with your clients, or children, playing this game as I have.
