I hope that my clients see me as validating. But I also hope that they see me as gently challenging their thoughts and behaviors that are keeping them in a cycle that is not helping their healing. The trauma that we experienced growing up is not our fault, where we can work on taking ownership is putting in the work now so that we can break generational trauma. 

Unlike mental health professionals, chatbots are designed to keep you engaged—not necessarily to support your well-being.

It’s been a minute! I have been battling emotionally and physically for the last 8 months.

I went to the doctors in March with brain cloudiness and just blah. They gave me prednisone thinking it was allergies. Several months past, June and I’m still in that space, it was severely impacting me in all areas of life. I went back and advocated for myself for they to do a deeper panel blood work. It came back that my hormone levels were off. I started on bio-identical hormones and have noticed a significant improvement in my brain fogginess.

I also did not realize that I was depressed and getting worse until I started feeling better. So many times it is hard to see how bad things are until you start getting out of it.

All of this to say, if we notice that we or others we know are off. Encourage them to get checked out. Uplift them, pray for them, whatever you do as encouragement.
