Building relationships with women and helping care for them is such a blessing, as well as being apart of life is remarkable… never doubt God, for his mercies are new everyday!

He brings them fourth out of their mother’s womb…

The phone ring at 12:30am …. Mom’s water broke… no contractions. She knew baby was good and was moving like crazy so we advised to rest and to call when contractions started. Around 2am she called and they were going to make their way over to the birth suite… they had about an hour and half drive, so we set everything up and waited for them to arrive.
Upon arrival contractions had stopped which is normal in a car ride, so we listen to baby and mom got settled and went to bed.
Around 10 am she was up and we again checked baby and everything was good. No contractions so they are and then went out for a walk.
Through out the day ir was very peaceful and very relaxed and a time of waiting. Mom
Started to get frustrated thinking that her body wasn’t gonna do what it was supposed to do. we reassured her that God had a plan and it was going to be ok
Night fall came and still nothing so we set up a plan for morning and everyone went to bed.
At 7 mom was up and started the plan to get contractions going and baby out. By 10 am she was 9 cm 100% and +2 but no contractions so we went walking. She did amazing! At 11:30 we were back and she was having some little ones that would soon be well on the way to baby in her arms!
At 12:30 we checked on her and she was in the thick of it baby was doing great and we filled the tub.
At 1pm she was complete and baby was born at 1:30.
Mom couldn’t believe that she was ready to push with only a few hard contractions, but what we didn’t know was the miracle that God had ordained, and why there was no contractions and yet she was complete!
A battledoor placenta is rear, but to this degree is even more rear! God placed everything in order for this little guy!

My Family and What we do

Hi my name is Sarah, and I’m a Certified Prenatal, Birthing and Postpartum Doula. I am married to a wonderful man and we have four children of our own. Our first two were born in a medical Center, and the second two were born in our home, under the care of a midwife. I have always wanted to be in the Labor and Delivery world, and I am currently working as a midwife assistant and apprentice, while I follow my dream in my education to become a CPM.

My goal as your doula is to support you through your journey into motherhood. We talk about what that looks like to you, and how you invision your birthing experience. My job is to help you achieve that vision. I will be with you every step of the way, through labor, never leaving your side, there are no shift changes. Support is number one, with comfort measures, and techniques that work best for you and your unborn baby. We start with a prenatal visit, and end in postpartum. In home care after birth is available, and highly recommended. Postpartum care includes a variety of services, from light house work to helping you get the hang of breastfeeding. There are many memories in life, but birth is proven to be the most impactful event in a mother’s life. Whether good or bad you never forget. Studies have shown that women who are accompanied by a doula have a better birth experience. That is what we want, to be there to insure the best experience for you as possible.
