We will be hosting a petting zoo at Homestead of Owasso this Friday from 4:00–7:00 PM. Bring your kids, grandkids, and friends to enjoy a relaxed evening filled with some special animal visitors.

Today we participated in the Broken Arrow Senior Activity Center Senior Fair!

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with seniors, families, and community partners while sharing valuable information about hospice and supportive care services. We are grateful for everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, and allowed us to be part of such a meaningful event.

We are committed to serving our community with compassion, dignity, and support every step of the way. Thank you, BA , for having us!

Meet Fran and Susan, sisters who have been volunteering with Rivercross Hospice in the Bartlesville community for the past two years.

What a great way to spend time with your sister while pouring into your community?!

Fran shares:

“I joined a volunteer group at Rivercross Hospice a few years back to get myself back to a thriving life after my husband died. Rivercross served two family members and I know the value of the service firsthand. I wanted to be part of something valuable.”

Susan says:

“After retiring, I picked up my guitar and started playing and singing again. I get motivated to practice when I know I have a performance scheduled. So I share my music with hospice patients at nursing homes, playing for the whole group. Those residents really enjoy the entertainment, and I really feel appreciated by them.”

Together, this amazing sisters bring comfort, connection, and joy to the patients we serve. We are so grateful to all of our volunteers, they are a powerful gift to us and our patients.

Meet Kara, one of our Rivercross Hospice volunteers, serving since August 2025.

“Volunteering with Rivercross fills my cup. I don’t feel like I have many skills to contribute in a world that needs so much help, but I can go visit with someone for a bit, make their day a little brighter, or I can help by being a safe person sitting with a patient while their caregiver gets out of the house for a bit. It’s not much, but I know it makes a difference.”

Kara’s words reflect the true heart of hospice volunteering. It is often the simplest acts: showing up, listening, offering presence. These gifts make the greatest impact for patients and their families.

We are grateful for Kara and for every volunteer!

If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back, there is a place for you here.
