September is Su***de Awareness Month and National Recovery Month, and HOPE Services invites you to wear your Suspenders4Hope T-shirts on Fridays as a sign of your support for mental health and others in the Wichita State community.
Together, everyone can normalize conversations around mental health, su***de and substance use disorders changing the narrative to one of hope, recovery and healing. If you would like to attend a Suspenders4Hope Mental Wellness and Preventing Su***de training or Substance Use and Mental Wellness training, go to myTraining in your myWSU to see the offerings this semester or keep an eye out in the newsletter for upcoming training opportunities.

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids. Health, Outreach, Prevention and Education (HOPE) Services is presenting DCCCA’s one-hour naloxone administration course on 11/13 at 3pm to the WSU community to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond to an overdose crisis using naloxone and other available resources. Students can sign up for trainings here (link) and staff/faculty can register via MyTraining.
