Plus it is a wonderful gift to your family! Consider having them "take" a sentimental item from your home as their gift to you this holiday season!

Let’s face it. Over the decades, we accumulate a lot of stuff. Then, as we get older, our priorities and interests change. After carrying clothes, books, travel souvenirs and school projects around for years, it all gets a little tiring. The memories are wonderful, but, in our 60s and 70s, for man...

So true...don't put off a most important plan....

In the final days of life, it may be too late to choose how you want to die, who you want to be cared by, and how you'd like your symptoms managed.

Pre-planning is so important...and what a gift to your loved ones! Save them the time, the struggle and the legal fees by having your estate in order!

John McCain had a plan for his final months and funeral. Aretha Franklin didn't, and the result made her family unhappy. We should all learn from this.

Learn about why our understanding of what constitutes a Good Death may increase the suffering of those who are dying as well as our own.

Today I was honored to lead a group of nine people in a discussion about death and dying. We spoke about cultural fears about death and ultimately how liberating it is to TALK about DEATH! 💀 After all, we’re all going to die right?

Personally journeying with a cancer diagnosis and being surrounded by many others with cancer I feel like I’m surrounded by death. Please don’t misunderstand, I believe in LIFE and choose life and joy again and again but accepting one’s death is paramount to TRULY LIVING and appreciating LIFE! Accepting ones death is a beautiful thing and is something that can bring great peace. Why resist the inevitable?

So grateful to be a part of Full Circle Living & Dying Collective in Grass Valley!

Coffin Club UK is based on a model that has successfully run in New Zealand for a number of years. It is for elderly people, people who are terminally ill, or the people who care for those people (or, indeed, anyone else who fancies it!) to come and work out their funeral wish-list, plan, and cost,....

Home funerals are becoming more of a trend...before you say "ewwww" .....think of how it was done not so many years ago, before so many funeral homes existed...

Richard's guest today is Jenny Briscoe-Hough, who had an epiphany about the business of funerals after her mother’s death. Jenny was shocked at the cost of the modest funeral she and her family arranged.

Some time later, Jenny came up with the idea of a not-for-profit funeral service. With help from locals in Port Kembla, and a crowdfunding campaign, Tender Funerals - A Community Undertaking is now a reality.

One piece of advice she gives to those who've been with a person who has died, is "pick up the kettle, before you pick up the phone". Jenny encourages people to re-think the way we handle our loved ones after death, from the very moment we lose them, right through to their burial.
