We love this beautiful quote from the incredible and deeply missed bell hooks 🖤🙏
bell hooks was a lovely human, a scholar, author, and activist who wrote over 30 books that have been pivotal to society and to shifting the conversation to a more equitable one.
She wasn’t afraid to address race, gender, class, feminism, sexuality, self-care and all of the intersections in between. Her bravery, advocacy, and activism is something that must never be forgotten ✨
We loved this quote of hers from ‘All About Love’ because it’s in alignment with why this community was created. We are all in need of a caring community that truly sees us on our respective self-care journeys in order to heal 💜

Her Healing Place was created to provide safe and brave spaces where women could be vulnerable enough to fall apart and begin the process of rebuilding one healed piece at a time.
In a world where women are constantly required to be all things to all people and being lauded as strong and resilient, we are left feeling as if we can’t have breaking points.
We feel pressured to constantly put on a face, keep our shoulders back, head up and heels perched when at times we just need permission to catch our breath.
The need for Her Healing Place arose when Megan, our founder, was in a dark place, (which later became darker during the process). She was bearing personal struggles and felt alone, insignificant and somewhat desperate for a reprieve. She wanted help and to find others who could relate, but moreso than that, she wanted to foster a community of wellness where people like her could come and be surrounded by healing professionals and love all at once.
Her Healing Place has established a series of monthly local offline events called Soul Nurturing Sessions, which will resume this summer.
On June 22, 2019, we will launch our inaugural Conference Experience and Mini-Retreat in Williamsburg, VA.
Our Healing Collective for this event consists of the following dynamic and powerful women:
