W&M Public Health Club Welcome to the William & Mary Public Health Club! We'll be posting upcoming events and news on this page for members of the community to follow.

We are a student-run organization devoted to the discussion and advocacy of current public health issues. Each semester we vote as a club on what public health issue we’d like to focus on, and we spend the semester fundraising and advocating for that cause. Campaigns can be anything from organ donation to mental health stigma, and everything in between! We are always looking for new members! Our club usually attracts students planning to major in or with a general interest in any discipline pertaining to public health (such as biology, kinesiology, psychology, neuroscience, public policy, epidemiology, environmental science, etc.) We meet once every two weeks on Mondays at 7 pm in Tucker 220. Send us a message if you would like any more information or details about how to get involved! Group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/602633763144400/

Based on a recent Duke study, they found out that N95, surgical, and cotton-polypropylene mask were most effective at reducing droplet spread, while Neck Gaiters were least effective - worse than no mask at all in this scenario. The WHO recommends a three layer cotton mask to stop the spread of COVID-19! Wear your mask to keep our community safe and healthy! Here’s the links to the research articles:
