The Power of U The Power of U is a North Carolina Based Non-Profit specializing in Substance Abuse Prevention The Power of U specializes in substance abuse prevention.

Our prevention services prevent and reduce substance use among high-risk adolescents. The program places highly trained professionals in schools to provide a full range of substance use prevention and early intervention services. In addition, Our Prevention Services link the school to the community’s continuum of care when necessary, referring both students and families to human services organizations, including substance abuse treatment agencies.

Our Substance Abuse Prevention team has the pleasure of reminding young people of the risks associated with bad choices in several counties we serve. Today we wrapped up our curriculum with a special group of young adults in Beaufort County. We can’t wait to attend their graduation next month and to see them continue to practice using their new tools to live healthy and productive lives.
