Wow. Yesterday was something special.
After seven years of being Midwest Metaphysics, we’ve officially stepped into our new name, Sanctum and Stone, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who showed up to celebrate with us.
This name has been on my heart for a while. Midwest Metaphysics has meant a lot to me, but people didn’t always understand it, from what metaphysics meant, to if we were really in the Midwest. 😂 But Sanctum and Stone feels different. It feels true. It’s a sanctuary. It’s grounding. It’s where we’re meant to be.
What started as a little metaphysical shop has grown into something I never expected. I never thought I’d be doing retail, but now here we are, with a full crystal and gift shop, an In Harmony bed, a crystal light therapy bed, sound baths every week, yoga and belly dance classes, private events, and so much more. And beyond all of that, it’s still about the healing work I’ve always done energy sessions, readings, and life coaching, and the bigger picture I’m working toward through my chaplaincy studies.
My goal has always been to help people. To bring folks together. To create a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported. That’s what this rebrand is all about.
So thank you to everyone who’s walked through these doors, who’s been part of the journey, who came to the celebration, or just sent love from afar. We’re building something beautiful here. We’re just getting started.

The weekend in South Dakota was nothing short of magical and amazing. Between the SOS Expo and the breathtaking and beautiful connection made with the land, I’m filled with so much gratitude. I’ve always loved Deadwood. We end up there a few times a year and it holds a special place in my heart.
I was lucky enough to see bighorn sheep and deer walking right through town, eagles soaring overhead, and this bison in Custer State Park. It was my first time there, and we took a little adventure to soak it all in. It reminded me how important it is to explore and reconnect with nature’s rhythm.
There’s something so unique about the energy in the Black Hills. You can feel Spirit there. It’s so deeply rooted in the land, in the wind, in the trees. There’s a powerful mix of ancestral memory and nature spirits that are very active in the area. Most of the time, people don’t notice them. But if you slow down and truly pay attention, they’ll make themselves known.
The land holds many stories and I’m already looking forward to coming back to spend more time with the powerful presence of the local spirits who have always called this place home.
