Thank you to award judge Julie Lohnes, curator of Galleries and Collections University of Tennessee School of Art Director. This online show will be up for a year, but see this painting in person Friday April 10 at my solo show Transformations .

New work - working on smaller scale. Process photos. 1.Finished piece ( as of now untitled)
2. I begin by using my quick pose life drawings - I love the spontaneous line and movement!
3. I add paper that I either make or alter - here using the National Geographic/ CitraSolv process. 4.Add all the mixed media, paint, charcoal, graphite, acrylic marker. 5.Add the finishing touches!

Honestly, I was so upset yesterday that I didn't want to draw, why even bother? But I went ( I am the facilitator so I that is a big motivator). Drawing with like minded artists and this lovely, kind model was good for my soul. My drawings are not my best and who cares- the process of drawing it out was what I needed. Feeling stronger and more motivated today. Take the time to rest, reflect and do what you love before you get back out there. 3 min, 10 min, 20 min drawings - life drawing 1/8/26.
