So excited to be presenting at this in a few weeks. So many wonderful community advocates, leaders and organizations will be participating.

Do you love volunteering at your kids school? It’s one of my favorite parts of being a parent. Most of us have *slightly* different versions of ourselves depending on our environment, right? Personality traits that shine in certain places around certain people. Ya know, work persona, hanging with friends persona, dinner with in-laws persona 😂, Etc… It’s such a joy getting to see my kids with their friends and teachers and watching them ✨shine✨

This Saturday, the 26th!
Our FIRST Saturday meet up! ❤️ We had a wonderful turn out this morning and hope to see more of you lovely mamas!

How fantastic is this feelings sticker? The core feelings on the inside (aka, the easy ones to identify) branch out to the deeper ones making it easier to name the emotion you’re trying to work through. Such a wonderful tool to help parents talk through the tough stuff. (Great for kids too!)

Sitting outside enjoy some sunshine and fresh air with a snuggly 3 month old.

An epidural can be the turning point of a stalling labor or the reprieve a birthing person needs after hours of pitocin induced contractions. I believe in you. Your power is in trusting your body and knowing what it needs.

How perfect is this shirt?! 😂 12 hours into a tough labor last night with a wonderful couple welcoming their first baby and I had to snap a quick pic during a rapid p*e break. 😆 (Full disclosure: I will not be going anywhere near a cervix. Lol Non-medical personnel over here. 🙋🏼♀️)

Baby Wearing FTW!

Oh the perfection and joy in those first moments. ♥️

What a gift my profession is to me! The honor and joy it is to walk this journey with families in our community is so fulfilling.
I love being there for all the days, easy or hard.

Nothing beats working outside in this beautiful weather, burning a special candle. 😎☀️👌🏼

Each class is taught in the comfort of your home and customized to your family. We want you to feel confident and ready to embark on your new journey! Sign up for one or all three. Our Birth & Comfort Measures class includes creating a custom Birth Plan you can print and share with your providers.

Hope everyone had a good time Trick or Treating! Happy Halloween!

I experienced these soul sucking intrusive thoughts for months after each of my babies and didn’t know it was a “thing” until my third kid. 😳 I believed most new moms had these fears and it was “normal” to think them. It probably is normal to think them on occasion, but a never ending loop that sends you into panic and keeps you from resting your body and mind is NOT normal.

Took myself out for a work lunch after a morning meeting… can you guess where I am? Swipe left for another hint. 😉

I had such a super FUN morning going live with and talking about being a postpartum doula and some of my own experiences as a mom of 4.
.
I have to chuckle though because 10 mins before I hopped on I looked like picture #1. 😂 …A little dry shampoo, a splash of concealer and bam you have picture #2. 😉😆 That last photo is what you don’t see behind the camera. 🤣🤩

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you’re treating yourself well on this beautiful day!

Absolutely LOVE this!
This is the face of PPA.
This is the face of someone who failed breastfeeding. Twice.
With my first, I was 4 months postpartum, hemorrhaging, and still. I pushed.
It was simple. Take birth control pills to make the bleeding stop. This medication would also stop my milk. So I pushed.
One day, my doctor said, “If you die, and you will, you won’t be able to breastfeed her AND you also won’t be with her.”
I took the birth control. I stopped bleeding. I gave myself, and my girl, my life.
The second time, my baby simply couldn't eat from a breast.
Since she wasn’t able to eat “correctly,” I had to triple pump, a fresh hell that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. A feeding process of breastfeeding, then pumping, then bottle feeding. The entire process at best took 2 hrs. I had to wake her at the 2.5 hr mark to feed her. For 60 days, I never slept more than 20 mins, IF I was lucky.
One day, I was looking at my 2 yr old while feeding the newborn, when suddenly, there were 2 of her. Two versions of my toddler looking back at me, like a horror film. Postpartum psychosis. Sh*t was getting real.
And still, I pushed.
Until one day. I didn’t. One day, WAY too late, I listened to my baby. I listened to her screams. She did not get breastfeeding. I was pushing her, instead of nourishing her.
The palpable relief for both of us when we stopped breastfeeding. She gained weight, my PPA lifted. Why didn’t we do this sooner?
This post is for those of you struggling, who struggled, who never got the chance. This post is permission. Permission to supplement. To stop entirely. To let that guilt go if you chose to do so in the past. Permission to feed your baby, however your breasts, however your mental state, however your baby needs.
As world breastfeeding week comes to a close, we invite you to celebrate breastfeeding. Celebrate tube feeding. Celebrate pumping, donor milk, combo feeding. Celebrate formula feeding. Celebrating, educating breastfeeding does NOT mean being anti-formula.
Celebrating formula does NOT mean diminishing breastfeeding. Let’s lift each other up: share stories, celebrate, educate, and empower ALL the beautiful, hard, intense ways we feed our babies.

Come support my other labor of love I run with my sister! ♥️
This week!!!

When your clients become like family. ♥️ (shared with permission)

In my opinion, humans are just a body of cells full of wonderfully complicated emotions. Learning who we are and embracing the beauty and complexity of ourselves is one of the greatest joys and challenges in life. Being a parent tends to put that adventure into overdrive!

Who can relate? 😂
I like to think of screen time as just another parenting tool to be pulled out of my bag of tricks when needed. Finding balance is key and that looks different for every family.
OR

I can’t always relate or understand another persons anxieties or struggles… but I can listen and validate their feelings. Holding space for birthing people is absolutely the biggest honor of being a doula.
