Hello to all of my old clients and friends! As most of you know, I had to take a long break from massaging in order to rest my aching hands. I spent time receiving massages from my amazingly talented team and I have learned so much from them in the past year. I will be picking up some appointments during December to ease back into it this practice that has brought so much joy into my life. With all of that being said, I do not want to get any of my previous long time clients hopes up. This will be a trial period to see what I now can and can no longer do. I am not giving up on my passion for holistic healing. I plan to take my Medical Massage course next year as well as learning Thai Massage. Just like before, if you wish to book with me just give us a call. Boy oh boy! That was a mouthful! Don’t you hate long captions?! Fun cupping facts for your ! Cupping developed over time from the original use of the hollowed animal horns to drain toxins out of snakebites and skin lesions. Horns evolved into bamboo cups, which were eventually replaced by glass. Horn cupping is still used in many places all around the world!

Meet our newest member of the Daggers Team, Martin!

Martin left his native Philadelphia at 19 and after a stint at a traditional college, enlisted in the navy and was stationed in Japan, where he was exposed to a culture of health and wellness that fascinated him. He frequented the public baths and explored the (legit) shiatsu and thai massage venues. His GI bill allowed him to study massage intensively at Pacific College of Health Science in San Diego, graduating in 2012. He then studied traditional Chinese medicine in San Francisco and spent several years in China as an apprentice in a massage clinic, working mostly with joint injuries and patients recovering from surgery, until Covid brought him back to the US.
Martin utilizes a mixture of various Asian modalities to hone in on areas of pain and tension in the body. He specializes in deep tissue, sports massage, and Chinese tuina. He is also trained in foot reflexology, scalp massage, and abdominal massage.

Ali comes from ND and has been a Licensed Massage & Body Work Therapist for 6+ years, graduating from The Salon Professional Academy in Fargo, ND in 2015. Daggers is excited to announce our newest Massage Therapist/Team Leader, Arielle!

Arielle is a massage therapist who recently moved to Wilmington from Pennsylvania where she practiced medical massage. She specializes in deep tissue techniques, utilizing the forearm and elbow to reach varying degrees of pressure to relieve muscular issues. She believes the most important part of delivering a great massage involves listening to the client to identify their specific condition and needs. She became a massage therapist because she was passionate about helping people and loved seeing the direct impact on mind, body, and soul therapeutic massage had. Although the hardest part of leaving her hometown in PA was saying “goodbye” to the clients she had built relationships with, she was drawn to Wilmington because of how friendly the people here seemed and she is very excited to get to know her new clients!

She was born and raised right here in Wilmington, North Carolina and is a licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist. She graduated from Cortiva Institute in Baltimore, MD in 2019. She is trained in Swedish and Deep tissue therapies.

A study conducted in Denmark showed that people suffering from headaches and migraines showed great improvement after receiving reflexology foot massage treatments. It also showed that a 10-minute foot massage session up to three times a week resulted in improved mood, less anxiety and lower blood pressure.
