August 7th - National Purple Heart Day.

The Purple Heart Medal is the oldest military award still presented to service members who have been killed or wounded in action.

Every year Wilmington Funeral & Cremation participates and supports the Cape Fear Purple Heart Dinner that honors and recognizes the recipients of the award of the eastern NC region.

National Rescue Dog Day!

Miss Harley is our funeral home comfort dog and unofficial mascot!

In December of 2021 she was rescued by our team member Don. From the first day he brought her to work she knew what her task was, to give love and comfort to the grieving families.
