This is how I got started on my reset, six years ago. In late March 2019, I was faced with an unprecedented high blood pressure reading, which scared me because I NEVER had anything remotely close to high blood pressure!! Back then, my eating habits were poor and I had slacked off on any moderate activity, so it shouldn't have surprised me. Nonetheless, that was my wake up call. I needed to get serious about my health and .

So I began walking. Everyday. I started with 2 miles, increased to 3, and so on until I could briskly walk/jog 5 miles without blinking. My endurance and stamina increased and I started to feel alive again! And what do ya know? That blood pressure leveled out and never rose again.

What did I learn from this experience? Move your body! You heard me. Move that body however you can. That's why the is ! Now that the days are longer and getting warmer, why not take a walk? It's the best full body workout!

I use my for daily step count and to track my runs, so I can see my distance and pace progress. Whether you have these apps or something similar, do your best to keep record of your efforts. You'll be glad you did! However you can start, the goal is to START and KEEP GOING! Let's take a walk...or two...or three!!!

‘Hola mi gente! New toy alert!! ⚠️

Last month for , I gifted myself an Aura and I've been in love ever since! I do one to two 10-minute sessions a day and have seen a significant change in my body.

My lymph nodes aren't swollen around my neck and post-workout muscle soreness is a thing of the past. I'm also noticing my foot issues and swelling up are pretty much gone. Blood flow and circulation have definitely improved!! Can you say ?!?

If you are on the fence about getting one, I'd first recommend consulting with your doc to ensure you don't have any limiting conditions. There are many variations of vibration plates out there, so do your research before purchasing!

This is one of the main reasons I invested in an a couple of years ago. I refuse to subscribe to a weight-only perspective of my health and wellness journey, as should everyone.

As you see, while the "main number" hasn't changed, my percentage has. On another screen, it showed that I gained 0.9 lbs of muscle during this same time...which means things are happening and progress is being made behind the scenes!!

I highly recommend having a body analysis measurement done 1x month if feasible. Most gyms offer this service for their members, but did you know that FSA and HSA accounts will cover it if you decide to buy one?!?! Visit the FSA website and thank me later!

Before we all get too excited, let me share a disclaimer-- the most accurate and precise way to measure body fat % is by a licensed physician. The readings on these devices are the best estimate of where you are and should be referenced accordingly.

I'm sharing because I care, dangit and want to see everyone reach their healthiest potential! If you take anything away from this post, remember that the traditional scale only tells a part of the story. Don't be discouraged if that number isn't moving but you are! Keep going and stay consistent! The future you will be so happy you did!
