Thus far, the guidance from the HHS on COVID vaccines this season has been contradictory. As we await guidance from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, we want you to know that we have placed an order for COVID vaccines.  We support the AAP’s recommendations (slide 4) and believe, like most medical care, that this decision should be made via shared decision making between the patient’s family and physician.
Details of this year’s COVID vaccine administration process have to be determined but we want you to know that we are working on it!
