Thus far, the guidance from the HHS on COVID vaccines this season has been contradictory. As we await guidance from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, we want you to know that we have placed an order for COVID vaccines.  We support the AAP’s recommendations (slide 4) and believe, like most medical care, that this decision should be made via shared decision making between the patient’s family and physician.
Details of this year’s COVID vaccine administration process have to be determined but we want you to know that we are working on it!

Advocare Brandywine Pediatrics is excited to announce that Ana Wennberg is our new lactation consultant! Call to set up appointment!

Ana was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware. With over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, Ana has dedicated much of her career to caring for newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). She also spent time as the nurse for St. Mary Magdalen School.

During her time in the NICU, Ana developed a passion for supporting new mothers as a breastfeeding counselor. She enjoyed helping them nourish their babies and emphasizing the critical role of breast milk for infant health.

After raising three children of her own , Ana returned to school and received her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.

Ana is excited to join Advocare Brandywine Pediatrics, where she will continue to support mothers and their infants during the special postpartum period.

In her free time, Ana enjoys running and spending quality time at the beach with her husband and children.
