As Summer Ends… A New Chapter Begins
As summer officially comes to a close, it feels like everything since June has been a complete blur for Helena and me.
Back in early June, we signed the lease for our new office. At the time, it was painted school bus yellow, had terrible flooring, an old and outdated bathroom, and two massive windows that needed to be filled in. It was a project, to say the least.
Over the next month and a half, we got the space painted and the windows taken care of. Duck Creek Carpet came in and absolutely nailed the new carpet and flooring install. Shortly after that, we had a new toilet and sink put in, and we could finally start moving things in.
My personal library alone took nearly two weeks to fully set up!
These past few months have been nonstop—packing, unpacking, organizing—and through it all, my beautiful wife has been the driving force behind making the space truly shine. I can’t thank her enough for her vision, hard work, and incredible taste.
While there are still a few things left to finish—and some bigger ideas we’ll have to hold off on for now—we finally got most of it done this weekend. The photos show the transformation from where we started to where we are now.
This space brings me such peace. I hope it gives me the clarity I need to bring a wild idea I’ve been carrying in my head to life.
