Dementia is a disease that hits so close to my heart..I will always share information or tips to help navigate with a loved one ❤️💜

Do you know the early signs of dementia? Early onset of dementia can be subtle, such as new or different behaviors. While one symptom may not be cause for alarm, many of these symptoms happening at once may be a sign to talk to your doctor:

-Forgetting recent events or conversations
-Getting confused about time or place
-Struggling to find words or follow conversations
-Difficulty with familiar tasks like managing finances or cooking
-Poor judgment or decision-making
-Personality changes, mood swings, or withdrawal from activities
-Trouble with planning, solving problems, or multitasking

These signs don’t always mean dementia. They could be caused by something else, like medication side effects, depression, thyroid issues, or even vision or hearing loss. That’s why getting an accurate diagnosis is essential.

Trust your instincts. Don’t ignore the red flags. The earlier you know, the more support and care you can access.

There are parts of my job that are ugly and painful. When a client and their family depend on me, I come through, in ways that would break a lot of people. I'm thankful for each experience and I've never met a family who wasn't thankful for me and the people I have around me. I say it all the time.
