During this time of isolation due to the Covid-19 virus we are putting a great deal of effort into protecting the physical health of ourselves and others-as we should be. But, it is also very important to take care of mental health during this time.

Uncertain circumstances and isolation have disrupted our daily life and that can have a significant effect on our mental health. For example, many are experiencing anxiety regarding our health and the health of our loved ones, economic stress and feelings of a loss of connection with others.

Stress can affect our mind and our body. Getting fresh air, walking, and staying connected to family and friends by phone or video are ways to support your physical and mental health.

Anxiety and fear are appropriate responses to what we are facing in the world today; coping with these emotions can sometimes be difficult to do on our own. If you or your loved ones, including children, are struggling, there is confidential support available for you and I encourage you to reach out. Your insurance plan provides coverage for you to receive support and should have a list of in network providers in your area on their website.
