Our patients are the heart of what we do!

Throughout Heart Month, we are proud to offer events and share tips for maintaining heart health. Today, we're taking a moment to celebrate our patients!

Our Cardiopulmonary Rehab team works daily with patients to guide them on their individual journeys to recovery. Cardiopulmonary rehab isn’t just exercise. It’s courage. It’s second chances. It’s strength you didn’t know you had. And every smile in our photo booth is a reminder that recovery is powerful and so are the people doing the work.

To our amazing patients: thank you for trusting us with your hearts, your recovery, and your stories. Thank you for showing up on the hard days. Thank you for pushing through when it would’ve been easier not to. Thank you for choosing to heal here at Wilson Medical Center.

We are honored to walk alongside you in your journey. You inspire us daily with your resilience, determination, and heart.

This Valentine’s Day, our little ones at The Growing Tree Child Care Center celebrated in the sweetest way — by spreading love for Heart Month! ❤️

The children colored and sorted hearts and delivered them to their neighbors at Wilson Rehabilitation and Nursing Center!

Valentine’s Day is all about love, and Heart Month reminds us to care for our hearts — inside and out. We are so proud of our kiddos for sharing both! 💗

Think you might have the flu? Here’s what to do to take care of yourself and protect others:

- Stay home and rest. Avoid work, school or public places. Rest helps your body fight the infection and prevents it from spreading to others.

- Monitor your symptoms. Keep track of severity, duration and any changes in symptoms like fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose.

- Hydrate and manage symptoms. Drink plenty of water or herbal tea. Over-the-counter medications can help with symptoms. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

- Seek medical care if needed. Call your healthcare provider if you experience trouble breathing, chest pain, severe weakness, confusion, persistent high fever or worsening symptoms, especially if you are pregnant, older or have chronic conditions. Early treatment can help reduce complications.

- Protect your community. Cover coughs and sneezes, wash your hands frequently and stay home until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.
