Congratulations to our May Employee of the Month, Emily Proctor!

Since joining Wilson Medical Center in 2022, Emily has consistently exemplified dedication, compassion, and excellence in every role she has served. As a registered nurse with experience in ICU Telemetry and now as a Clinical Lead, Emily continues to make a meaningful impact on both her patients and her team each day.

Emily’s coworkers describe her as one of the very best at Wilson Medical Center. She leads by example, consistently
demonstrating what it means to be a true team player.

Whether it’s stepping up when needed, working overtime, adjusting her schedule to cover shifts, or supporting her coworkers to ensure smooth unit operations, Emily brings confidence,
reassurance, and unwavering dedication to every shift. Her leadership, accountability, compassion, and commitment to both
patients and colleagues make her an invaluable part of the Wilson Medical Center family.

Emily lives in Wilson with her husband of seven years and their dog. She is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University School of
Nursing. Outside of work, Emily enjoys crafting, spending time at the beach, and staying involved in her community through her local church.

Congratulations, Emily, and thank you for all you do to make Wilson Medical Center stronger every day!

It's Patient Experience Week!

Patient Experience Week is an annual observance dedicated to recognizing the efforts of healthcare professionals, volunteers, patients, and community partners in enhancing the patient experience. It highlights the importance of communication, collaboration, and compassion in healthcare, emphasizing that positive patient experiences can improve outcomes, morale, and overall satisfaction while fostering trust between patients and providers.

Our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is an important connection to our community. The PFAC is a collaborative group of hospital staff, patients and family members. The council meets regularly with hospital staff to help identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience.

We thank the PFAC for their service and their insights. And we thank the community for trusting us with your care.
