At North Shore Behavioral Health we strive to provide services that are designed to increase functional communication, socialization and daily living skills in the children and youth we serve. Treatment services are designed to retain or improve functional abilities which have been negatively impacted by the effects of cognitive or functional impairment and are focused on behavior modification and management, social development and acquisition and retention of developmentally appropriate skills. Our programs share a primary commitment to provide care with a strength-based approach that builds upon our clients' strengths, responds to our clients' concerns and utilizes natural support systems and community resources.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (BHP):

Behavioral Health Professionals work directly with children/youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, or cognitive limitations, offering in-home and community support services. BHP’s work independently providing one-to-one support services to children, and are an integral as part of a collaborative Treatment Team to help children acquire appropriate lifelong and behavioral skills.

ABOUT THIS JOB:

Professional Team-Oriented Management

On-Site professional medical/clinical training
Document Treatment Progression
Model effective methods
Maintain strength-based perspective and positive attitude at all times
Weekly office-based supervision sessions
Ability to satisfactorily complete a 35 hour BHP certification course (Provided by North Shore Behavioral Health)
REQUIREMENTS: All candidates must be 18 years old / high school diploma and be willing to become BHP Certified within 12 months of employment.
