Lovely Hearts Birth Licensed Midwife Oona Mekas offers homebirth services, doula/monatrice services, and placenta encapsulation in the Hill Country of Central Texas.

She believes in true informed choice, women's autonomy, and compassionate care in a non-judgemental setting. Oona is a Certified Professional Midwife, and believes every woman deserves compassionate healthcare and true informed consent, no matter her circumstances. In addition to midwifery, Oona is also an internationally recognized (certified E-RYT and RPYT) Integral Yoga® teacher. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has been a certified teacher since 2006, serving students on both coasts and everywhere in between over the years. Oona lives in the Hill Country of Central Texas with her wonderful husband and inspiring daughter, along with a gaggle of animals, including a lively border collie, a few cats, and a happy flock of free-range chickens. She loves baking, knitting, libraries, heist movies, saunas, and swimming in natural bodies of water.
