• Possible temporary dizziness or ear fullness
• Gradual improvement over time

For many, this treatment can be a game-changer in managing symptoms and getting back to daily life 🙌

In the Texas Hill Country, sudden winds and changing weather can dry out your nasal passages quickly.

Dry air = irritated nose = increased risk of epistaxis (nosebleeds).

If you’ve been dealing with frequent nosebleeds lately, a dry nasal lining might be the culprit. Low humidity, heaters, and dehydration can dry out those delicate blood vessels.

💡 Tips to prevent it:
• Use a humidifier 🌫️
• Stay hydrated 💧
• Try a saline spray or gel 🧴
• Avoid aggressive nose blowing

Take care of your nose—it does more than you think!

🚨 If you snore loudly, wake up exhausted, or fall asleep during the day — it might not just be poor sleep.

It could be Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

 People with sleep apnea can stop breathing dozens or even hundreds of times each night, often without realizing it.

Signs to watch for:
• Loud snoring
• Waking up gasping or choking
• Morning headaches
• Brain fog or daytime fatigue
• Poor concentration

This condition, called Obstructive Sleep Apnea, occurs when throat muscles relax and block the airway during sleep, reducing oxygen and repeatedly waking the brain.

For many patients, CPAP works well — but not everyone can tolerate the mask.

That’s where the Inspire implant comes in.

💡 Inspire is a small device implanted under the skin that works with your breathing while you sleep. It gently stimulates the nerve that controls the tongue, helping keep the airway open — no mask or hose required. ()

✔ Mask-free therapy
✔ Controlled with a small remote
✔ Helps maintain an open airway during sleep

If you or someone you love struggles with snoring or daytime exhaustion, it may be time to talk to a provider about evaluation and treatment options.

Better sleep can change everything.

Feeling Like Something’s Always in Your Throat?

You might be experiencing post-nasal drip. It’s when extra mucus from your sinuses trickles down your throat, causing that constant throat clearing or tickle.

You might notice:

🔹A lingering tickle that makes you want to cough or clear your throat constantly

🔹Feeling like mucus is stuck at the back of your throat

🔹A scratchy or sore throat that just won’t go away

🔹Trouble swallowing comfortably

🔹A cough that’s worse at night or in the morning

Post-nasal drip can come from allergies, sinus infections, colds, or even changes in the weather.

✅ Don’t just suffer in silence. A quick evaluation can help identify the cause and get you relief fast.

Struggling to breathe through your nose? VivAer may help!

Nasal obstruction isn’t always caused by allergies or a deviated septum. For many people, the problem is a collapsed or weakened nasal valve, which can make breathing through your nose difficult—especially during sleep or exercise.

✨ VivAer® is a quick, non-surgical in-office treatment that helps improve airflow by gently remodeling the nasal valve using controlled radiofrequency energy.

Benefits of VivAer:
• Performed right in the office
• No cutting or incisions
• Minimal downtime
• Most treatments take about 15–20 minutes
• Many patients notice improved nasal breathing

If you constantly feel stuffy, congested, or rely on nasal strips to breathe better, VivAer might be a great option.

📞 Contact our office to schedule an evaluation and see if VivAer is right for you!

What Are Adenoids?

Adenoids are small lumps of tissue located at the back of the nose, near the roof of the mouth. They are part of the immune system and help your body fight infections, especially in children.

How Adenoids Affect Us:

Normal Function: Adenoids trap germs (bacteria and viruses) that enter through the nose or mouth, helping prevent infections.

Enlarged Adenoids: Sometimes adenoids become swollen due to infections or allergies. This can lead to:
👃Difficulty breathing through the nose
👄Mouth breathing
😴Snoring or sleep problems
👂Recurrent ear infections
👧Changes in speech or dental development in children

Treatment:
Mild cases may just need monitoring.

Persistent problems or significant obstruction might require surgical removal, called an adenoidectomy.

💡 Tip: Adenoid issues are most common in children but usually shrink naturally as kids grow.

🌬️🌳 Windy days = allergy flares! 🤧

When the wind picks up, tree pollen, dust, and allergens get spread far and wide — which can trigger sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, and sinus pressure.

Ways to protect yourself on high-pollen, windy days:
• 👃Saline nasal rinses to flush out pollen and allergens
• 💊 Daily antihistamines to keep symptoms in check
• 💨Keep windows closed when possible
• 🚿 Shower and change clothes after being outdoors

💡 Pro tip: Use distilled, sterile, or previously boiled water with your NeilMed squeeze bottle for safe and effective nasal irrigation.

Stay ahead of the pollen — your sinuses will thank you! ✨
