I wanted to share with you a recent situation with one of our clients that I come across so often in the caregiving business.

A client of ours that is requires constant help with mobility and the use of a Hoyer lift has been under our part time care for awhile but has been insistent that their family would help them with her other needs. Our observiation was that their family was indeed not helping at all with their care and in fact was using them but the client was covering for them.

Unfortunately it took a serious incident that landed the client in the hospital and subsequently rehab for over a month for them to realize that they did indeed need more help to prevent further injury and and better quality of life.

We see this all to often in this industry, that clients or their families wait until something tragic happens before getting the help they need. Whether that be just companionship or more in depth medical care they all deserve the happiest, most-fulfilled life as possible.

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope the New Year is treating everyone well! I've been busy over here at Miss Daisy's Caregivers implementing some brand new programs and I realized we have so many new followers I wanted to reintroduce myself!

I'm CJ Fowler, aka Miss Daisy!

I was introduced to caregiving when my late aunt, whom was like a second mother, became ill with ovarian cancer. I shared a home with her for 2 ½ years, until the lord took her home. The experience of caring for her opened my eyes to a great need for families with elderly loved ones. And so was born Miss Daisy’s Caregivers.

I have been caregiving for over 20 years and I take great joy in serving others and helping families and their aging loved ones with their specific needs, just as I did with my own aunt. I take great pride in helping my clients find something to look forward to every day and making the most out of each and every moment.
