Let’s talk about omeprazole and what the actual package insert says 📦

According to the label directions:

✔️ Adults 18 years and older

✔️ Use once daily for 1️⃣4️⃣ days ⚠️

✔️ Do NOT use for more than 1️⃣4️⃣ days unless directed by your doctor

✔️ You may repeat a 14 day course every 4 months

Read that again.

Yet many people take this medication daily for years. 🆘

Now let’s talk physiology 🧠

It is actually very RARE to have true excessive stomach acid.

Much more commonly reflux is associated with:

🍽️ LOW stomach acid

😵 Chronic stress shutting down digestion

You can have normal glucose and a normal A1c and still be struggling metabolically 🤯

That’s why fasting insulin is such an important lab marker 🧪 It shows us what’s happening behind the scenes often years before diabetes or stubborn weight gain shows up 👀

🥥 Dessert! Coconut Milk Blueberry Ice Cream 🍦🫐

28 oz full-fat coconut milk 🥥

½ cup monk fruit with allulose (granulated)

Pinch of Celtic sea salt 🧂

1½ tablespoons vanilla flavoring

1 cup frozen wild blueberries 🫐

1 scoop collagen peptides (19 g protein)

Instructions…

Add coconut milk, monk fruit/allulose granules, Celtic salt, vanilla flavoring, and collagen to a blender (I used a Ninja).

Blend until completely smooth and creamy.

Pour mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for 45 minutes.

Remove from freezer and gently fold in 1 cup frozen wild blueberries.

Return to the freezer and freeze for about 3 hours, or until firm but scoopable.

Make it your own…

You can easily switch this up by adding strawberries or peaches instead of blueberries 🍓🍑

Add nuts for crunch 🌰

Mix in cacao nibs 🍫

Add protein powder for extra protein support

Because yes… Florida is currently under chili weather 😆🥶❄️

🥩 Ingredients 🥕

1 lb grass-fed, grass-finished ground beef 🐄
2 tablespoons avocado oil 🥑
1/2 small sweet onion, diced 🧅
1/2 red bell pepper, chopped ❤️🫑
3 stalks celery, chopped 🌿
2 carrots, chopped 🥕🥕
6 cloves garlic, minced (we love garlic!) 🧄🧄🧄
1 can organic kidney beans, drained and rinsed 🫘
1 can organic black beans, drained and rinsed 🫘
1 (15 oz) can organic crushed tomatoes 🍅
Organic chili seasoning, to taste 🌶️✨
Optional salt and pepper, if needed 🧂⚫

🫕 How to Make It 🔥
Heat the avocado oil in a large pot over medium heat 🥑🔥
Sauté the sweet onion and red bell pepper until fragrant and soft 🧅🫑😌
Add the chopped celery and carrots and let them simmer and soften for a few minutes 🌿🥕
Add the ground beef and cook until it starts to brown 🥩🔥
Once the beef is mostly cooked, add the garlic and stir well 🧄😍
Add the kidney beans, black beans, crushed tomatoes, and chili seasoning 🫘🍅🌶️

Stir everything together, reduce heat, and let it simmer for about 1½ hours ⏰🍲

Stir occasionally and enjoy how amazing your kitchen smells 😍🏡

Freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese 🧀
