The purpose of the group is to build attachment/connection with your child/teen, while learning how to discipline effectively without being punitive. We use the empirically-based methodology of CPRT (Child-Parent Relationship Therapy), TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), and incorporate principles from the Trauma Model Therapy methodology to help you understand impact of trauma, attachment injury, adoption dynamics, and/or abuse on your child's behavior and your own parenting styles. We believe these principles to be effective with neurodivergent children, addressing their needs for concrete and empathic responding. Parents frequently report feeling empowered as they learn new skills, with decreased behavioral issues and emotional meltdowns from their child.
