They say healing takes time.
But no one tells you how to survive in the meantime.
The fog. The fatigue. The fear of not being who you were.
If you’ve been following my posts this week, thank you.
Thank you for your openness. Thank you for your comments, messages, and trust.
This week I shared pieces of my story, not because I have it all together, but because I know what it’s like to feel lost after a stroke.
To feel like no one really gets it. To wonder if your best days are behind you.
To question if clarity, energy, and joy will ever return.
Let me just say this:
You’re not broken.
You’re not falling behind.
And you’re not alone.
Recovery is rarely linear. It’s messy. Emotional. Frustrating.
But it’s also possible.
Whether you’re 8 months out, 8 years out, or still trying to make sense of what happened yesterday… you are doing better than you think.
Your pace is okay. Your story is valuable. And your presence here matters.
Keep showing up. Keep asking questions. Keep believing there is more ahead.
And if you ever need encouragement, a real conversation, or someone who’s walked this road too…I’m here.
Let’s keep going. Together.
