Prayers for Gunner

Gunner had his Xray and check-up with surgeon. They said everything looked great, no re-herniation was seen, no fluid was seen and that his lungs have over expanded (they said was not a bad thing) and that his surgery area looked/felt good and they was very happy with him. Thank you Lord for such good news 💙 we also asked about baby #2, what risks we're looking at concerning CDH happening again and they told us 0% - 2%, that he showed no signs of it being genetic so the chances of it happening again are extremely low ❤ said that CDH affects 1 out of 1000 people, so CDH is extremely rare in itself. We are going to be heading home soon, prayers for safe travels back. Thank you for all the prayers for bean

Gunners NICU follow up went really good. He had a great Dr this time, they said they have no concerns and that he is rising on the growth chart slowly but he's coming up. Said that he was very advanced for being 12 months and that what he is doing, is what they see from a 15-18 month old and they are very impressed with him 💙 he should only have 2-3 more appointments with the NICU team hopefully. Thank you for the prayers, tomorrow is the real teller as they are doing an X-ray and checking lung progress.

We made it to Cincinnati yesterday evening. His first appointment is at 3pm today and the other at 9am tomorrow to check the fluid that was around his lung. Prayers for good news and kind drs 💙

Please keep gunner and us in your prayers as we will be traveling next week up to Cincinnati for his yearly follow-up appointments with his surgeon and the NICU team to see if he can be released from NICU care and then have tests done to see if that fluid went away, were praying really hard that it did and that his lung has been growing good 💙

Please be praying for Gunner he has a pretty stuffy nose (no temp thank goodness)… but still feels bad… he is also going through a lot of separation issues with me the last week or so, he has to be in contact with me at all time as in holding him, him holding my hand, his foot in contact with me, etc… it almost seems like an anxiety attack when I sit him down or if he isn’t right on top of me he gets sniffles and everything he gets so upset 😞 please pray for him for his cold and also for whatever he is going through right now. He’s been having a hard time sleeping and has to lay right against my side or he dont sleep and If i get up or turn the other way he wakes up immediately ❤️ he’s just having a rough time.

From a 5lbs 9oz early baby with CDH (1 month in nicu), almost on ECMO but fought hard and didn't need it... to this almost 8 month old, 17lbs boy who was cleared from NICU follow-up visits till his first birthday 🥰 doctors tell us he is pretty behind with size for his age but I believe he is perfect and growing at his own pace!

Gunner Lee is 6 months old now ❤️ he loves Elmo, bluey and playing piano. He can sit up and roll over himself now (which they said he wouldn’t be able to do without therapy) 🥰 but he is thriving without any therapy whatsoever and is growing like a w**d weighing 16lbs and 25 inches tall, he loves standing and trying to take steps and listening to classical music, he has two teeth trying to cut through!
