Psyched to announce I’ll be leading my Longevity & Leadership Workshop Saturday, January 24th, at Morefit Studio!

We’ll kick things off at 10AM with a WERQ dance fitness class taught by Amber, yours truly;), and the Detroit crew. After class we’ll transition into the Longevity & Leadership workshop - which is designed for group fitness instructors, but is open to anyone in a leadership position (including Mom’s leading a household!).

The workshop will cover practical, evidence based strategies around training, nutrition, recovery, mindset, and lifestyle habits. Learn how to prevent burnout, protect your body and continue leading with clarity, enthusiasm, and purpose!

Inflammation is a normal part of how our body protects and repairs itself. But when stress increases, the good kind or the not-so-good kind (hello, packed schedules and holiday business!), our immune system can get overloaded. Over time, that overload can contribute to chronic inflammation, which is linked to low energy, aches and pains, skin issues, accelerated aging, and even disrupted sleep.

The good news? Your daily food choices can totally support your body’s natural defenses! Nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory foods help reduce oxidative stress, balance blood sugar, and keep your energy stable throughout the day.

Some of my favorites to add in:

🥦Cruciferous veggies: rich in sulforaphane to support detox pathways and cellular protection.

Celebrating how far I’ve come today💫 It’s been a wild ride so far and I’ve been fortunate to share it with a lot of loving & supportive people😌 My husband & kids are my heart & soul and my inspiration every day! They make me want to keep showing up and continue sharing my passion by leading and serving🤲🏼 Their determination, creativity and integrity astounds me daily😄🥹

If you know me or you’re just getting to know me, you’ve probably realized I’m not afraid to speak my truth and the truth about the importance of health and wellness. It’s my passion, but also I feel like it’s my responsibility. I read something recently that said how blessed one is to have a passion, a direction for one’s life. But also how it’s a burden - of the best kind. And I would say that’s pretty accurate. When you’re on a mission, you care and believe so deeply about the message, the gift you’ve been given, that you can’t let it go. You eat, sleep and LIVE it with a megaphone in your hand🗣️

I created my MFG project (mood, food, groove project) in 2018. It was 20+ years in the making; learning, going inward, raising my children, studying, discovering my wellness path💡The MFG Project is the culmination of three simple lifestyle points that helped me simplify my life first, and then my approach to coaching clients and sharing wellness w the world!
The mind is where we begin, we choose our moods, our personal intentions, our values, our relationship to ourselves and others is primary to how we show up each day☀️ Our food is the foundation of all that we are. Period. We mustn’t forget that our stomach is our second brain! Care for it accordingly🤗 And then, of course, movement. Finding our groove with movement, what makes us feel alive? What inspires us to move? And if we haven’t found the movement that inspires us (sport, fitness, dance or other) then we have to connect with a community that inspires us to do something until we fall love🥰

I’ve always said, the most important project you’ll ever work on is YOU. My MFG Project - Mood Food Groove - isn’t just about health, it’s about creating your life with intention. Your canvas is your well-being and every choice you make is a brushstroke toward the life you want to live.

👉 Choose organic ingredients if possible. This will help reduce exposure to pesticides and ensures cleaner, more nutrient-rich food.

👀 You’ll also notice an optional ingredient in my recipe: nutritional yeast. It’s not actually yeast, it’s a deactivated yeast that gives a savory, cheesy, nutty flavor. It’s packed with B vitamins, protein, and antioxidants, making it both delicious and extra healthy;) Totally optional but once you try it, you’ll see why I add it!
