On top of the pair of G350s arriving last week, our new .global M300-4 metal 3D printer was installed on the second floor of our new facility. This Direct Laser Metal Sinter (DSLM) printer will allow us to print complex parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industry. First up will be some aluminum and titanium parts for internal projects!

2 Grob G350s in the building and ready to be integrated to a System3R automation cell with 40 pallets.

The construction of our new building is starting to pick up pace now! Interior MEPF are being roughed in while the exterior walls are going up. Almost looks like a section view of the building.

Should be moving in apx. 3 months!

Our main motivation for building a new building was floor quality and space. With this we spent a considerable amount of time on the design of our slab. The specs are…

•12” concrete at 4000psi
•2 layers of rebar with 18” spacing
•Isolation joints at the column lines creating 5 separated pads
•The isolation joints are keyed to keep the slabs from moving independently
•Crushed stone base with a plastic v***r barrier
• Round forms around the columns instead of diamonds to reduce the need for control joints and reduce cracking

Something new (to us) landed on our floor about a month ago. Our GF Mikron Mill X 600 U is now chewing production parts with it’s 36,000 RPM spindle, 7 pallet workpiece changer, and rapid speeds fast enough to make a grown man blush
