Eat Real Food.
The new Dietary Guidelines for Americans has been released with an emphasis on meals built on whole, nutrient-dense foods—protein, dairy, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and whole grains. This focus helps to push out highly processed foods high in refined carbohydrates, added sugars, excess sodium, unhealthy fats, and chemical additives.
How does the new food pyramid match with your current meals? What is the first tweak you could make to move from the current Standard American Diet (so SAD!) to a Real Food Diet?
