Retired Public Employees Association (RPEA) just sent an email to all its members with an important update regarding the data breach involving Conduent Business Services, LLC, a subcontractor to Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Health Net, Kaiser Permanente, and Western Health Advantage.

This is just a few paragraphs from a long informative letter from RPEA

"CalPERS was notified by multiple health plans that a data breach had occurred at Conduent. CalPERS recently learned that the number of potentially impacted CalPERS members has increased to approximately 55,355 actively enrolled or former members."

"Notification letters regarding the breach are being mailed directly to affected members by Conduent, not by the health carriers."

Follow up with your provider, or CalPERS, or visit the RPEA website

David H. Wallace (YCSO, Ret.) passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was 88 years old.

Dave was hired as a deputy sheriff by Sheriff Jim Cameron in 1971, and was promoted to sergeant soon thereafter, and was assigned to administrative duties, including purchasing and procurement.

In 1978, Dave returned to civilian life where he remained at the helm of family owned and operated, Wallace Safe and Lock Co, until ill health prompted him to turn over the reins to other family members.

Dave became an active and valued member of the Yolo County Retired Peace Officers Association (YCRPOA), when it was established. A memorial service and reception are tentatively scheduled for mid-April in Woodland. Additional information will be sent out at a later date.
