If you're a woman in your 40s it's very possible that you've experienced some sort of jaw pain as a result of teeth grinding/clenching. This has been an ongoing reality for me for a while now and it's a very silent painful situation to go through! You can't tell from the outside that anything is wrong, and you don't want to constantly complain or tell people about it either but if you've experienced it at all you know what I'm talking about. I've tried every single thing you can imagine (TMJ dentist, mouth guards, chiropractor, massage, etc). I was even on a prescription muscle relaxer for a while (Cyclobenzaprine). One of the many things I've learned is that masking w/ meds not only doesn't help but it also causes additional unwanted side effects + doesn't get to the root cause. I'm sharing in the comments below what has significantly helped me reduce muscle tension naturally along w/ a Podcast to back it up.
