"I happened to meet Shawn at the Trailfest in Woodstock this spring. That was a lucky day for me. She sent me her website and we met for an informational appointment. I was intrigued by the Virtual Gastric Band concept. I’ve been seeing Shawn for about six weeks. I’ve lost close to 11 pounds. I am on medication which has side effects of weight gain so to achieve any weight loss is very satisfying. I had to admit to Shawn that I am an emotional and closet eater, have no willpower and possibly addicted to sugar. Also my doctor advised me that I was prediabetic. Since working with Shawn, my sugar cravings have disappeared, I have no desire to sneak food, and my willpower has improved. Now that I’m eating smaller meals and no snacks, I’ve come to realize just how much excess food I was consuming previously. I listen to the CDs to reinforce the program in between my appointments with Shawn. She is very kind and compassionate and working with her has given me the confidence to continue to follow the program until I reach my goal, and then to maintain my weight loss. This is a positive lifestyle change that I needed to improve my health and body image."
