The Massachusetts senate will begin debate on amendments to s.2564, an act relative to immediate Covid-18 recovery needs, utilizing funds from the American rescue plan act and the FY 2021 budget surplus. PLEASE CALL AND ASK YOUR STSYE SENATOR TO SUPPORT AND CO-SPONSOR AMENDMENT #229, SUD SERVICES IN NURSING HOMES filed by senator Julian Cyr (D-Truro). Amendment 229 would require EOHHS to establish a Medicaid resident rate substance use disorder program to care for Medicaid residents with substance use disorder.
This is important to me, for both of my lines of work. Please contact your state senator today!!

FYI, the relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to our lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression.
