This research study is funded by the National Institutes of Health. Have you been recently diagnosed with a metatarsal bone stress injury, stress reaction, or stress fracture? The Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab is recruiting injured running athletes to help us better understand and prevent these injuries. Learn about your bone and get paid!

It's marathon training season! To avoid overuse injury, many people recommend the "10% rule". That is, don't increase your training volume by more than 10 percent each week. This gives your muscles, bones, and tendons time to get used to the higher training load. Remember: it can take months or even years for your musculoskeletal system to adapt!
