Have you ever looked at a room in your house with a different perspective?

The room is so familiar to you that you don’t see it any other way than what you know of it. It’s the same room, with the same furniture, wall decor, window treatments, and all.

What if you saw it much differently?
And with all the same furnishings, nothing different? It would FEEL different, almost like you are in a different room. It would still be familiar, but your energy will change. It will feel a little different.

While standing or sitting in that room; if you simply force yourself to think of that room being at the opposite end of the house. Or imagine your house is facing a different way. The view outside of the windows, although the same, may seem slightly different. You might notice something that was always there that you never really considered.

That is a shift in perspective.

Now what if you tried this with something going on in your life? It could make all the difference for you. 💫

I like how we look when we are relaxed. I LOVE how I feel when we are in this mode.

That’s why it’s time for a major change. I want more of this.
Maybe not more vacations in the middle of the ocean, but just more feeling…less stressed (ya know…the kind that feels like you aren’t going to make it? Like your body is going to just shut down?) THAT kind.

This trip so far has been a combo of quality fam time, revisiting Bermuda since I was a kid, crying out my stress, relaxing more than I remembered how to do, and a bit of soul searching.

My motto has always been, if I don’t like something about my life that is in my control…I change it. The complex part is doing it in a way that either doesn’t affect, or positively impacts my family. I have formula that I’ve created for myself when making a change in that way. I’ve done it a few times and I’m about to do it again.
I’m 50 years old, and life is too uncertain for sitting back and watching those dreams just sit and rust.

Today marks the 1st "Leg Day" for some of my FASTer Way clients! And I've encouraged them to indulge in what we lovingly call, a "Leg Day Treat" today. Every Saturday is "Leg Day" and we enjoy something that we love, savor, and that won't break the effort we just put in all week!
The best thing about our program is that we do NOT deprive ourselves of delicious food. Yet we eat with intention. We eat foods that nourish our bodies, and keep us burning fat, and building lean muscle.

My Journey

I was dealing with depression and anxiety, was overweight, had little to no energy on a regular basis...for years. I was heading down the most slippery slope of my life in at the end of 2017. I had tried working out in gyms and bootcamps for many years, getting no results. I never realized that what really held me back was how I was eating. I was drinking shakes through a specific program, and eating salads, thinking it would help me. But I never saw a change in my body (or how I felt), and I never got real guidance on anything I was trying to do. All the while, I had been watching the The FASTer Way to Fat Loss program for a few months, “watching from the side-lines”, seeing others talk about incredible results, the community, and the guidance they had, before finally jumping in during January of 2018. So I went all in and committed to myself and followed the program (without exercise!) during the first 6 weeks, and I lost 17 inches. Ha! Who knew?! And only after 2 weeks, I noticed huge changes in my energy level, my attitude, my gut health (no more bloating), and no longer had that anxiety. Not only did I go from a size 12 to a 10 (loose); even better, I starting feeling stronger, mentally and physically, and I felt happy! I stopped craving sugar and junk food. I continued the program after that first 6 weeks, and added in the workouts. I had more confidence in myself. Another 6 weeks later, I had lost a total of 25 inches from where I started. Today, I’m in a size 6.

Living the FASTer Way lifestyle has turned everything around for me AND my family, and has influenced my passion for good health and self-care. I became Certified with the FASTer Way in September 2018, and absolutlely love dedicating time to others to help them on their wellness journey.
