Gilly's House, Inc.

Gilly's House, Inc. Gilly's House is a non-profit residential program for men who are struggle with addiction. GIlly loved people fully and unconditionally.

GIlly's House was established in memory of Steven Gillmeister, Gilly, who passed away from a heroin overdose October 24, 2016 at the age of 25. GIlly had a big smile and an even bigger heart, and those who were close to him knew of his ability to light up a room and make friends wherever he went. He was always joking and laughing and could make you laugh no matter what kind of day you were having.

He would make up songs to cheer you up if you were having a bad day, and would drop anything to help someone in need. HE had hundreds of friends literally around the world, from California to Israel and Maine he touched the lives of countless people. Gilly began using drugs first as a social user, but later became addicted to opiates and heroin, which led to a long life of detox, recovery, rehab, sober living and relapse. Even during his struggle, Gilly was actively helping other addicts find ways to turn their lives around. He had a passion for helping others. Steven had the most success and comfort living in a sober home. With Gilly's House we hope to carry out hs legacy and continue to help those in need.

What a fantastic Heart of Massachusetts get-together this evening at ElevenO in Foxborough! We checked out the new pickleball spot, and wow—it is absolutely fabulous. So much fun, so much energy, and so much going on!
These gatherings are such a great reminder of how important community and connection are. Lots of laughs, great conversations, and plenty of action on the courts. Grateful for the opportunity to come together, socialize, and enjoy such a vibrant and welcoming space.
A special thank you to Marcie Rappa for always organizing such fabulous events—we appreciate you so much! And thank you to Corey Phinney , events coordinator at Eleven O, for organizing a great night.
Looking forward to the next one already! 💜 www.gillyshouse.com

Wednesday Wisdom 🌱

Progress isn’t linear—and it’s never perfect.

At Gilly’s House, we encourage steady, intentional growth. With structure and support, men learn to build new habits, take accountability, and move forward—at their own pace.

Recovery isn't about perfection. It's about progress with purpose.

A huge thank you to our rockstar supporter, Vincent D’Angelo of Wrentham, for stopping by this morning and brightening our day!
He treated us to the most delicious homemade baked goodies—chocolate almond biscotti and lemon ricotta cookies—and they were an absolute hit. It’s gestures like these that remind us how blessed we are to have such thoughtful and generous people in our corner.
Thank you, Vince, for your continued support and for always showing up with kindness (and incredible baking skills)! 🍪💜

We are incredibly grateful to Jim and Lisa Faust of Charleton James Faust for spending time with our residents at Gilly's House and sharing their powerful story and mission behind their nonprofit, Adam’s Parachute.
In loving memory of their son Adam, who tragically passed away from an accidental overdose, Jim has turned loss into purpose—raising funds to provide individuals in recovery with meaningful fly fishing excursions and camping trips. 🎣🏕These experiences offer not only adventure, but healing, connection, and peace.
Jim’s belief is simple yet profound: everyone deserves to find peace. Through Adam’s Parachute, he is on a heartfelt mission to help others discover it.
Thank you, Jim and Lisa, for your courage, compassion, and for inspiring our community.💜 For more information visit their website www.adamsparachute.org
