✨Therapist Introductions!✨

I’m Lauren Coats. 👋🏼 I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & Supervisor and the owner of Wylie Counseling and Wellness.

I have been married for 16 years and together we have four children ages 12, 11, 7, & 5! There are 2 boys and 2 girls & sometimes it feels like I spend all of my free time playing Nerf guns or painting fingernails.🤪 Fortunately we have a sacred date night every Saturday night that keeps us sane! 🙌🏽

I am a former public educator — I taught the sixth grade for three years before I had children. In that time I began working on my masters in counseling. I quickly realized I had a passion for working with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression as well as couples working to save their marriage after an affair. Another of my expertise is teaching healthy communication to married couples.🗣 Nothing excites me more than seeing a healthy marriage blossom as a result of couples counseling!

I absolutely love my “job” and consider myself to have found the intersection of my talents and passions. As a result it doesn’t even feel like I’m “working.” I have benefited from counseling myself and consider it a life-changing experience for pretty much anyone willing to do the hard work. 💪🏽

Some fun facts about me: I am an Enneagram type 7 and an ESFP on the Myers-Briggs. I’m about as extroverted as they come and I don’t embarrass easily. You can talk to me about all the things.😉
