Re-introducing: Dr. Eames!!

I am life-long resident of Virginia, born and raised in Portsmouth where I met my wife (Christina), we both went on to pursue our undergraduate degrees at Old Dominion University, I majored in Biology with a focus in Pre-Medical Studies and graduated Magma Cum Laude.

In 2016 Christina and I relocated to Blacksburg where I attended medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM). While living in the New River Valley we fell in love with the community and decided this would be the location we would stay permanently to expand our family and raise our children. After graduating from medical school, I completed residency training in Pediatric Medicine at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke.

Clinically my interests are in the management of children’s overall health as a general pediatrician which includes caring for newborns, well child preventative medicine, acute and chronic illnesses, children with special medical needs, immunization schedules, learning difficulties including SLD and ADHD, sports injuries, and mild-moderate chronic psychological conditions.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, hiking, attending church, carpentry, going to occasional Virginia Tech sporting events, spending time on the lake, and doing anything outdoors.

I look forward to meeting you and your family soon, and would be honored to provide your child's pediatric healthcare needs via Direct Pediatrics Care !

Welcome to the Direct Pediatrics Care Facebook. This is a Pediatric medical practice located in Wytheville VA, serving all of Wythe county and the New River Valley.

Simple does not mean incomplete. Direct Care is a model of Medicine that goes back to the basics. Back to the basics of care, putting priorities back in order. Back to the basics of what docs got in the business for in the first place, helping patients.

Direct Pediatrics Care offers modern Pediatric care, but does not accept insurance. In lieu of a fee for service model, patients pay a monthly subscription fee for unlimited visits. The result is a stronger patient-doctor relationship built on trust and transparency. This allows Direct Pediatrics Care to work directly with patients on payments – passing along savings such as wholesale prescription costs, in-house labs at no additional costs, cheaper rates on out-of-house labs, and much, much more.

Direct Pediatrics Care spends more time on fewer patients in order to provide them with better quality care. By limiting the size of the patient panel, there is availability for patients during a wider range of time – both during the day, and during the week. In addition, patients are offered same day or next day scheduling and extended visits that last a minimum of 30 minutes, but are typically scheduled for 1-hour.
