The WALK TO WELLNESS program invites all CHCW patients to join us for a weekly wellness walk.

Due to the heatwave we are about to be in, for the safety of everyone, NO Walk to Wellness this week!

From last week's walk!!! Look at those folks getting their stamps and their steps :)

This upcoming week will be a hot one- over 100 degrees on Saturday! The Walk to Wellness Team will be monitoring the forecast- if it stays above 100 we will be canceling the Walk this week so everyone can stay home and stay cool! (If it's a more reasonable hot we will come with cold water and fans for walkers!)

Here it is- our first (of 5!) Raffle baskets- this one gardened themed! Put together by our fantastic Dr. Santa Olivo!

For a chance to win this, or any of our other amazing prizes, simply join us on a Walk to Wellness (Saturdays at 9 am at Sarg Hubbard Park) get a punch card and earn a sticker for your walk! The more walks you go on, the more stickers you earn, which at the end of the challenge get transformed to tickets to enter in our raffle!

And our summer walking Wellness challenge began!!!! 16 humans, 2 doggos, walkers, tricyclists and stroller riders!- all taking the challenge What a glorious day to make steps toward our Wellness with such a supportive community!

We can't wait to see you next week!!!

Look what's back....our summer Wellness Challenge!!!

From this Saturday to the middle of September, join us for our summer challenge! Come to a walk, get a card, chose a Wellness goal and walk with us!! Every walk you go on gets a sticker and a chance to win a raffle (drawings in September)

Good morning everyone!!!

Given that this weekend is Pride Weekend, and Saturday is the parade, our volunteers will not be available for Walk to Wellness! Instead they invite all walkers to join them in marching in Yakima Pride (you can join the CWFM crew at any point in the parade and walk for as long or as little as you'd like!)

Looking forward to seeing everyone and then to our summer walking challenge (with prizes) kick off next week!

Happy Tuesday Walkers!!!

We had a great time last week and we are so excited to enter into our prime walking season!!

As promised, some new exciting things are in the works- we are so happy to share one of these is our new Walk to Wellness website: https://walktowellness.wixite.com/walk-to-wellness !

Please go ahead and check it out- it has photos from past walks, information about upcoming walks, places to sign up to volunteer and to sign up and get newsletters and reminders about upcoming walks, as well as information about when walks aren't going to be happening (for example, this Saturday the Greenway is holding the annual Gap to Gap so no walking this Saturday!)

We will continue to post updates here as well so continue to check in.. especially about our Summer Walking Challenge (with prizes....... 😻👌🚶‍♀️‍➡️👣🎉!) More to come on that!!

What a sweet and sunny Walk to Wellness today- enjoying the sun at everyone's own pace, fast or meandering, and celebrating Dr Shanice Santa Olivo first time leading Walk to Wellness (and she did an amazing job)!!
