February is National Heart Month! Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States?

Here are some tips to decrease your risk:
- Get physically active! At least 30-45 minutes of exercise 5 times a week to get your heart pumping!
- Quit smoking. Cigarette smoking greatly increases risk for heart disease.
- Limit alcohol consumption. Men should have no more than 2 drinks per day, and women no more than 1 drink per day.
- Choose healthy food and drinks that are low in saturated fat and salt, and low in sugar.
- Quality uninterrupted sleep at night.
